So, we’ve turned a full circle. We started Bharata Kala in a small nook. Then we went in for a large space paying tons of money on rent; not to mention insurance costs, maintenance costs, communication costs and what not. Cost to benefit ratio? Zilch. Nada. Duck. To cover overheads, we spent more bucks on several marketing tools and the costs kept climbing. So we decided to bite the celery stick. Packed our instruments, mics and everything of value and set up the Studio in my basement. Surprise, surprise, not one of our clients dropped out. Everyone embraced the change and some were even very supportive to the move. The oft asked question was, ‘why did we not do this earlier’. Our stock answer, it was an idea whose time hadn’t come.
So, just a few adjustments need be made. I have listed them as under:
If some of you have anything to add, please do post on our Facebook Page. We would love for you to please leave a comment on our Google Page.

Many people call us for guitar/keyboard classes. During the conversation, many of the parents tell us that it was always a dream for them to learn an instrument. Some of them want to learn how to sing. Most times, I have found that this is said with a heavy heart! My answer has always been as to why they can’t do it now? The first excuse is that they are too old! NEWSFLASH: you are never too old to learn music!
We have a lot of such ‘converted’ adults who enjoy their classes. All our classes are private lessons so you don’t have to feel embarassed for any reason. We are also quite open to schedule changes as we understand that most of you have jobs that might require you to stay late or miss a schedule. We can always work around a genuine problem.
We have also started our karaoke lessons. These lessons are made with you in mind. These are very informal sessions and in groups of 4 people at a time.
So, how do we help you become better?
Please call us (732) 451-7929 or email us at email@example.com for details.
Hope to see y’all soon!
R. D. Burman, affectionaly known as Pancham Da would have turned 76 today, if he were alive. His tunes ranged from the classical mode and to peppy, foot tapping numbers. Here at Bharata Kala, our guitar lessons especially chords have many of his songs as examples. To some of you who want to record his songs using karaoke tracks, we are happy to accomodate you. He also brought various styles to Bollywood music. Please read more about him in this news article.
